I cannot connect to MS VPN at my workplace for the life of me. I have tried manually adding a rule to pass pptp traffic but i don't know what this "packt invalid in connection" message is. I have included my log file so if anyone can help me PLEASE i beg you!!!! |

Change the dns servers on your pc to 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. These are not fios dns servers but they should tell you if that's the problem. Verizons dns servers by default do some sort of url redirection when certain parameters are met and this conflicts w/ VPN. |

| reply to ortizdr any ideas? I can connect using my iPhone but for some reason when I try to connect using the WinXP computer I get: Blocked - Packet invalid in connection on the westell router. I have no idea what is going on. I can connect other computers to the vpn on other networks. I just cant get past this westell. I am thinkin it has something to do with the SPI built into the router. |

| reply to ortizdr Is your westell in bridge mode? Also, if you're using a Linksys WRT54G ver 5 or later, that's your problem. This version does not support GRE packets. If you have a version 1 - 4, you could put 3rd party firmware on it.
Make sure you have the westell bridged first before you do anything else because the Linksys is going to need to terminate the connection via PPPoE is you want to use it with the Westell...
