Cableone causing system crash?

I folks,

Is it possible for the cable network to cause my system to crash?

I have been using this same computer (mac osx ppc) for over 3 years on a comcast network with no problems (other than normal stuff). This computer has never crashed. Period, not neva! Of course, programs crash and whatnot, thats normal stuff..
BUT now. The day I switched to Cableone my system has crashed twice within 6 hours, complete system crash requiring a hard reboot.

I find it difficult to believe this is just a coincidence. Is it possible they are using some sort of port scan or attempting to block something that is causing my computer to get confused and crash?
again, this is not a software crash, normally in OSX (or any unix system) if something crashes, it crashes alone and the system keeps going. This was a total system crash, that has happened twice since cableone came and plugged me in less than 8 hours ago.

I am using the same d-link router I've always used, same computer and same setup, same software etc. etc... the only thing different today than the last 3 years, is that I am on a new network and using a new modem (provided by cableone, but its the same motorola 5101 comcast gave me previously).

any help is appreciated

Just to add:

Here is the kernel panic log for both crashes.

I don't know what any of this means, but I do know I have never had a kernel panic before (on this system) until now.

Seems to have panic'd on a input/output device related to USB.

Plug in anything new recently?
