| Geting yahoo account canceled when you don't have access..
My wife has a yahoo account that either was hacked or compromised in some way, to where she can't log into the account anymore. When we go to recover the account, it does not take the answer to the secret question. I have tried numerous times, and she has tried also, trying every variation that we can think of.
Contacting Yahoo is useless, as they keep sending canned responses saying to use the password recovery tool, even though we have told them we have tried numerous times. We both sent emails to Yahoo requesting the account be terminated, including any information that we think they could use to alternatively verify the account, but they still keep sending canned email responses.
Is there any way to get them to either close the account, or to recover the password?

I called them one time when my CC was stolen and someone charged a bunch of crap from yahoo to my card. I canceled the card, but yahoo reversed the charges right over the phone which just made it one less thing I had to dispute with the bank.

I had a yahoo account hacked years ago and Yahoo was of no help what so ever. If I remember correctly they told me that they "offer no guarantees or additional services with their free email accounts." |
